Blue Marlins swim team competes in Capital City Meet

Seven members of the Boonslick Heartland YMCA Blue Marlins swim team combined for a total of 16 personal bests while competing in the Capital City Invitational on May 2-4 in Jefferson city.


Katie Noble, who competed in the 11-12 age group, finished the invitational with four personal bests in five events by placing seventh in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:25.33, ninth in the 50-yard backstroke in 35.95 seconds and 10th in both the 50-yard butterfly and 100-yard freestyle in times of 37.40 seconds and 1:09.87.


Holly Krumm, who competed in the 9-10 age group, also had three personal bests by finishing fourth in the 50-yard butterfly in 41.64 seconds, fourth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:40, fourth in the 50 backstroke in 41.76 seconds and sixth in the 200 freestyle in 2:56.38.


Rebecca Gramlich, Kaitlyn Krumm, Caitlyn Spoonemore and McKenna Stumph, meanwhile, finished the meet with two personal bests each while Allie Hollon had one personal best.
