The LSE Lady Hawks volleyball team picked up a sweep against the Marshall Owls last night on the road, winning by the scores of 25-10 and 25-19.
LSE coach Kristin Roberts said serving was very good last night with over 25 team aces. “Also, our passing looked good with our 20 digs,” Roberts said.
Kelsi Dillender had five aces, one assist, one kill and one dig for LSE.
Holly Brady finished the match with four digs, two aces and one kill, while Sydnee Poindexter added four aces and two digs, Emma Goff with three aces, two assists and one dig, Lindsey Harris with one ace, one kill and one dig, Keely Fenton with three aces, two assists and one dig, Bryanna Nivert with one kill and one dig and Sophie Taube and Paige Peterson each with one dig.
In the B-game, Marshall defeated LSE 25-23 and 25-7.
Tatiana Winters had seven aces and one dig for the Lady Hawks while Bailey Magyar added one ace and one dig, Hannah Lefler with one kill and one dig, Jessica Leathers with one ace and one dig, Emily Gibson with two aces and Taylor Fisher, Jordan Xufuris and Bekah Renner each with one dig.
In the match on Wednesday against Fulton, LSE won in two 25-18 and 25-16.
Roberts said what a fun game against Fulton. “We ended up with a win in the A-game and split with the B-team,” Roberts said. “W ended up just short of 30 team aces and 10 kills.”
Emma Goff led the attack for LSE with five aces, four digs, one assist and one kill.
