The Ss. Peter & Paul volleyball team had another tough loss Tuesday at home against Jeff Junior, losing in three sets by the scores of 25-22, 16-25 and 7-15.
Ss. Peter & Paul coach Dina Herzog said the girls weren’t ready to play mentally.
“Jeff Junior has a good team but we didn’t show them how we could play,” Herzog said. “We have one practice and one game left hopefully we can end on a good note. Playing the Columbia schools will make us better.”
Kylee Turner had 12 digs, three assists, five service points with two aces and one kill to lead the Lady Warriors.
Abby Fuemmeler finished the match with eight assists, seven digs, three kills and three service points while Zoey Lang had eight digs, five kills and three service points with three aces, Madison Smith with seven digs, seven service points with one ace and six kills, Addie Hubach with seven digs, one kill and one service point, Jordyn Fuemmeler with three digs, two kills and six service points with one ace, Katelyn Smith with four kills and two digs and Alison Eichelberger with two digs and one kill.
In the B-team match, Ss. Peter & Paul defeated Jeff Junior 25-23, 20-25 and 18-16.
Herzog said the girls bounced back from the night before to play another good team from Columbia. “This time we were able to come off with the win,” Herzog said. “The girls fought hard to get the win.”
Addy Nichols led Ss. Peter & Paul with five service points with three aces along with eight kills.
Alison Eichelberger finished the match with six service points along with five kills and three digs while Kelli Young had eight service points with two aces and two kills, Bridgette Lutz with three service points with one ace, three assists, three kills and two digs, Allison Drummond with five service points with one ace and three kills, Ava Esser with four service points with one ace, three assists and one dig, Bailey Atkinson with seven assists and Riley Wilson with one kill.
