The LSE Lady Pirates volleyball team fell in two straight sets on the road Thursday night against Gentry, losing by the scores of 14-25 and 8-25.
In the eighth grade match, LSE coach Jamie Boyd said it was a tough battle against Gentry. “We struggled to bounce back after a tough game against Fulton,” Boyd said.
Genae Hodge led the Lady Pirates with two service points with two kills, two assists and one block.
Alyssa Gross finished the match with three service points and two attack attempts while Ava Parman had two service points and two attack attempts, Kinley Fox with two service points and one attack, Ashlen Homan with two assists and one service point and Heather Hall with two service points.
In the seventh grade match, LSE fell in two straight sets against Gentry 21-25 and 6-25.
Cassidy Bishop had two service points with two digs, one assist and one kill to lead the Lady Pirates.
Audrionnah Donahue finished the match with three service points and one ace while Hannah Schueler added three service points and one dig, Brenna Hubbard with three service points, Infiniti Lewis with two service points, Elly Giroux with one dig, Mary Young with one attack and Adlea Hubbard with one service point.
The LSE Lady Pirates volleyball team will host Marshall on Monday, Oct. 8th at the LSE gymnasium starting at 5:30 p.m.
