The LSE Lady Pirates volleyball team showed great signs of improvement from the first match to the second match but still came out on the short in Tuesday night on the road against Versailles.
Versailles won all three matches in straight sets, winning the seventh grade match 25-10 and 25-11, the eighth grade match 25-13 and 25-14 and the C-team game 25-23 and 25-8.
In the seventh grade match, Audriana Donahue led the Lady Pirates with four service points while Cassidy Bishop had three service points, Alean Walters with one service point and Adlea Hubbard with one ace.
In the eighth grade match, Genae Hodge had two service points with one kill on one attack attempt. Alyssa Gross finished the match with one kill on three attack attempts while Ashlen Homan added three service points and Ava Parman and Abby Pulliam each with one kill on one attack attempt.
In the C-team match, LaShala Korte had two service points with two aces, Addison Ward with three service points, Adlea Hubbard with two service points with one ace, Kinley Fox with two service points and Tina Johnson with one service point.
