The Bunceton Lady Dragons volleyball team dropped two straight sets on the road Monday night against Otterville, losing by the identical scores of 23-25 and 23-25.
Bunceton coach Casandra Goyer said the girls battled hard and showed a lot of heart but came up short. “We jumped out ahead in both sets and then fell behind,” Goyer said. “I ended up calling a timeout and asking the girls how bad they wanted this. They went back out and worked hard, but in the end we just didn’t finish. I am proud of our efforts, and am excited to see the growth our team showed.”
Senior Autumn Bishop led Bunceton with six service points with four aces and two kills.
Cara Bishop finished the match with five service points with two aces and one kill while Reagan Triebsch added one service point with one ace, one kill and one tip, Madelyn Myers with three service points, Amaris Vaca with two service points and Taylyn Heilman with one service point.
