Boonville senior Olivia Reynolds seems to be living up to her end of the bargain so far this season.
After two matches, Reynolds has captured meet medalist honors in both after firing a 12-over par 48 Tuesday in a triangular meet against California and Sedalia Sacred Heart and California Country Club.
Boonville also won its first match of the season with a score of 216, outdistancing Sacred Heart with a score of 222 and California at 223.
Boonville Lady Pirates golf coach Rob VanderLinden said this win improves the team’s record to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the new conference.
“This was our first match in over a week,” VanderLinden said. “We were a little rusty over the holiday break and did not play very well, but were still able to get the wins. Olivia Reynolds was meet medalist, tying Caten Lucchesi of Sacred Heart with a 48. This is our busiest week of the season with this match and tournaments on Thursday and Friday. Thursday is in Columbia at the Battle Spartans Tournament and Friday is the Third annual Lady Pirate Classic.”
After Reynolds and Lucchesi of Sacred Heart with a score of 48, rounding out the top five for the varsity meet were Kendall Kirksey of California with a score of 52 and Megan Wingerter of Sacred Heart, Katie Adams of California and Lilli Eichelberger of California with scores of 54.
Reynolds finished the match with one par and four bogeys on the night. Alisa Newbold shot a round of 55 with one par and two bogeys while Mille Dorman fired a score of 56 with two bogeys, Jalyn Schnetzler with a score of 57 with two bogeys and Lily Terrell with a score of 64 with one bogey.
In the Boonville JV match, Iris Ehrengren shot a score of 52 with one birdie and two bogeys. Julianne Bromagen finished with a score of 63, followed by Rayghan Skoufos with a score of 64 and Francesca Zecca with a score of 72.
