The Boonville 8U All-Stars closed out its first ever World Series by finishing 2-6 at Jensen Beach, Florida.
While sporting a record of 1-3 in pool play with its only win against Bonkid China, the Boonville 8U All-Stars dropped its first two games in bracket play against Fern Creek All-Stars 12-1 and Mount Washington All-Stars 13-3. In the game against Mount Washington, Boonville trailed by just one at 4-3 after 2 1/2 before surrendering four runs in the third and five again in the fourth.
Jaden Ronnfeldt took the loss for Boonville by giving up 13 runs on 16 hits. She also struck out one batter.
Emma Pfeiffer homered and drove in two runs for Boonville while Ronnfeldt and Destiny Hawkins each had one single. Kinlei Ruffel also drove in one run while Karrman Leonard scored one run.
Meanwhile, in the third game in bracket play, Boonville came back and beat Bonkid China for the second time by a score of 11-0.
While out-hitting Bonkid China 14-4, the Boonville 8U All-Stars also scored in every inning by pushing across one run in the first, two again in the second and eight in the third to win by the mercy rule.
Jaden Ronnfeldt picked up the win in the circle for Boonville by giving up just four hits in four innings. Ronnfeldt also struck out five batters.
As for the hitting in the game for Boonville, which saw nine players collect at least one hit and five with two hits, Ronnfeldt went 2-for-2 with a single, double and one RBI. She also scored one run.
Paige Vroman finished the game with two singles, one RBI and two runs scored while Avery Shrick added two singles, one RBI and one run scored, Karrman Leonard two singles and two runs scored, Emma Pfeiffer two singles and one run scored, Kinsey Biesemeyer one double and one run scored, Brooke Hicks one single, two RBIs and one run scored, Penny Hoff one single, one RBI and one run scored and Greycen Syferd with one single and one run scored.
For Bonkid China, Mary Li went 1-for-2 with one double.
Shelly Zhou took the loss for Bonkid China by giving up 11 runs on 14 hits in three innings.
In the final game in the Diamond Bracket, the Boonville 8U All-Stars fell to Germantown All-Stars 16-4.
Although Germantown only out-hit Boonville 14-8 in the game, the seven errors was just too much to overcome. As a result, Germantown opened the game with six runs in the bottom half of the first and then sent three runs across in the second and seven again in the third to extend the lead to 16-0. Meanwhile, in the top half of the fourth, the Boonville 8 All-Stars rallied back with four runs to avoid the shutout.

For Germantown, Addison Ridder went 3-for-4 with four RBIs. Isabel Cummins also had three hits, one of which went for a double and two RBIs. Mia Jasgarszewski had two hits and two runs batted in while GraceAnn Knoerr added a home run and three RBIs.
Margaret Hite picked up the win for Germantown by giving up four runs on eight hits in four innings pitched. Hite also struck out two batters.
