The Boonville 8U All-Stars dropped their opening game in bracket play on Thursday in the Babe Ruth World Series at Jensen Beach, Florida by losing to Fern Creek All-Stars 12-1.
The Boonville 8U All-Stars, who finished pool play at 1-2, drew the No. 4 seed going into bracket play on Thursday.
Needless to say, the Boonville 8U All-Stars had a rocky start on Monday by losing to Oviedo All-Stars 13-0 in four innings.
Jaden Ronnfeldt took the loss in the circle for Boonville by giving up 13 runs on 15 hits while striking out four batters in three innings.
Oviedo scored all 13 runs in the first-three innings against Boonville with two runs in the first, six again in the second and five in the third.
Oviedo also out-hit Boonville 15-0.
In the second game in pool play later that night, the Boonville 8U All-Stars defeated Bonkid China 17-3.
Bonkid led Boonville 2-1 after the first but then the 8U All-Stars rallied back with seven in the second, three again in the third and six in the fourth.
Emma Pfeiffer picked up the win in the circle for Boonville by giving up three runs on eight hits in four innings. She also had one strikeout.
Boonville also out-hit Bonkid 24-8, with Paige Vroman and Emma Pfeiffer each collecting four hits in the game. Vroman also drove in three runs while Pfeiffer had two RBIs and two runs scored.
Karrman Leonard finished the game 3-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored while Kinlei Ruffel and Avery Schrick added two hits, three RBIs and three runs scored, Greycen Syferd, Kennady Vroman and Penny Hoff each with two hits and two runs scored, Jaden Ronnfeldt also with two singles and Kinsey Biesemeyer with one single.
In the third game in pool play on Tuesday, the Boonville 8U All-Stars suffered their second loss of the tournament by losing to Germantown 13-0.

Kinlei Ruffel had two of the team’s three hits in the game for Boonville with two singles while Karrman Leonard added one single.
Germantown finished the game with 11 players collecting hits against Boonville and led 6-0 after one, 8-0 after two and 10-0 after three before adding three more runs in the fourth.
In the final game of pool play Wednesday against St. Charles Parish, the Boonville 8U All-Stars took it on the chin by a score of 15-5.
Jaden Ronnfeldt took the loss for Boonville by giving up 15 runs on 34 hits while striking out three batters in six innings.
Ronnfeldt also had two hits and two RBIs in the game for Boonville. Emma Pfeiffer and Paige Vroman finished the game with two hits while scoring one run each. Kinsey Biesemeyer had one single, one RBI and scored one run while Greycen Syferd, Penny Hoff, Kennady Vroman and Karrman Leonard added one single each.
In the opening game in bracket play on Thursday, the Boonville 8U All-Stars again found itself on the outside looking in as Fern Creek jumped out to a 12-0 lead in the first three innings.
Boonville scored its only run of the ballgame in the top-half of the fourth.

Emma Pfeiffer went 2-for-2 in the game for Boonville with two singles while Karrman Leonard, Paige Vroman and Brooks Hicks each had one hit. Leonard also scored the only run for the 8U all-Stars.
Fern Creek, meanwhile, finished the game with 21 hits with eight players collecting two hits or more against Boonville.
Brooklyn Carmickle, Madison Crawford and Kyah Williams each had three hits for Fern Creek.
