Boonville freshman Addi Brownfield and sophomore Jodie Bass just recently returned from competing in the TFN's Run for the Roses in Louisville, KY and the Nike Tournament of Champions in Chicago, IL the first week of July.  
While both players play with Columbia Phenom Basketball teams, Brownfield’s team went 5-1 in Louisville to end up in the Final Four of the Platinum Bracket in their age group.   They went 4-1 in Chicago. As for Bass’ team, they finished 1-4 in Louisville and 4-1 in Chicago.  
The Run for the Roses  Tournament in Louisville features 9,000 players and 900 teams (Age 13-18) on 81 courts  at the Kentucky Exposition Center.  Six college coaches were also present for the tournament.
Meanwhile, in Chicago at McCormick Place, which is universally considered the most prestigious girls basketball event in the world, there were 85 teams, 10,000 athletes and coaches from all 50 states and every Canadian providence.
