The Boonville 14U All-Stars fell short in the championship game in the Missouri Babe Ruth State Tournament in Scott City, losing to Heartland Havoc 9-2.
Although the Boonville 14 All-Stars finished the tournament at 3-3, they couldn’t have started any better on Thursday after beating SEMO Rampage 9-4.
Emma West picked up the win in the circle for Boonville by striking out nine batters.
West also finished the game with two singles and one double for Boonville while Anna Thompson added three singles, Kenzie Felten two singles, Alexis Trigg one double and Mia Hatter, Grace Williams and Cheyenne Thurman each with one single.
The Heartland Havoc also handed Boonville its first loss of the tournament on Friday by a score of 16-2.
Kenzie Felten took the loss for Boonville.
Felten and Alexis Trigg also had the only two hits in the game for the 14 All-Stars, both being singles.
In the third game of the tournament against SEMO Rampage, Boonville won by a score of 12-1.
Emma West was the winning pitcher in the game for Boonville. In four innings pitched, West struck out eight batters and gave up just one run on three hits and four walks.
Boonville also out-hit SEMO Rampage 12-3, with  West going 3-for-3 with a single, double, home run and two RBIs.
Cheyenne Thurman finished the game with a single, double and two RBIs while Mia Hatter added two singles and one RBI, Alexis Trigg two singles, Anna Thompson with one triple and one RBI, Kylee Johnston and Ashlen Homan each with one single and two RBIs and Kenzie Felten and Faith Mesik each with one RBI.
On Saturday, Boonville again fell to Heartland Havoc 6-3.
Emma West took the loss for Boonville.
Alexis Trigg had a single and a double to lead Boonville while West added two singles and Olivia Eichelberger and Mia Hatter each with one single and one RBI.
In the second game on Saturday, the Boonville 14 All-Stars defeated SEMO Rampage 22-2.
Brooke Stone picked up the win in the circle for Boonville with five strikeouts in four innings.
Boonville also out-hit SEMO Rampage 13-3, with Emma West going 2-for-3 with a double, triple and four RBIs.
Ashlen Homan added a single, triple and three RBIs while Brooke Stone had a single, triple and two RBIs, Anna Thompson two singles, Olivia Eichelberger and Grace Williams one single and two RBIs each, Kylee Johnston one double and one RBI, Kenzie Felten one single and one RBI and Cheyenne Thurman with one single.
In the championship game, Heartland Havoc broke a 2-2 tie after 3 1/2 with seven runs over the final three innings.
