CARSTAR exploded for 17 runs in the first three innings to beat 87 Diner in Babe Ruth 10U softball Wednesday night at Lions park 20-10.
While scoring at least three runs in every inning, CARSTAR led 87 Diner 5-1 after one, 11-7 after three and 17-8 after three before plating three more runs in the fourth.
Addison Johnson picked up the win in the circle for CARSTAR while Millie Waller took the loss for 87 Diner. Johnson pitched the first three innings and gave up eight runs on five hits and seven walks while striking out four. Waller, meanwhile, pitched the first two innings and gave up 11 runs on one hit and 12 walks while striking out two.
Brooklyn Brown singled and drove in two runs to lead CARSTAR while Hillary James added one single and one RBI and Addison Johnson with one single.
For 87 Diner, Anna Wolfe went 2-for-2 with two singles. Katie Fenical doubled and drove in two runs while Grace Poulsen added a single and one RBI and Britta Hoff with one single.
Drummond Photography 17, Fayette Outlaws 2
Drummond Photography managed 17 runs on just two hits to beat Fayette Outlaws in Babe Ruth 10U softball Wednesday night at Lions park.
Fayette Outlaws led Drummond Photography 1-0 after 1/2 inning but was no match for the rest of the game as Drummond Photography plated six runs in each of the first two innings and five again in the third.
Emersyn Eads was the winning pitcher in the game for Drummond Photography while Cayle John took the loss for Fayette Outlaws. Eads pitched all three innings and struck out seven batters while giving up two runs on two hits and one walk. John, meanwhile, pitched two innings and gave up 12 runs on one hit and 10 walks.
Katelyn Drummond paced all hitters in the game for Drummond Photography with a single and one RBI. Karsy Carver also singled in the game while Kaylee Casey drove in one run.
For Fayette Outlaws, Bravyn Eubanks had two singles and one RBI.

Uptown Girlz 15, Fayette 9
Uptown Girlz broke a 5-5 tie by outscoring Fayette 10-4 over the next two innings for a 15-9 victory in Babe Ruth 10U softball at Lions park.
After both teams put up five runs in the first inning, Uptown Girlz came back and exploded for six runs in the top-half of the second to make it 11-5. Then, after Fayette plated one run in the bottom half of the inning, Uptown Girlz held a 4-3 advantage in the third to win the game by six.
Mabry Caton picked up the win in the circle for Uptown Girlz while Payton Kindle took the loss for Fayette. Caton pitched the first two innings and gave up six runs on two hits and four walks while striking out four. Mylie Edwards then came in and pitched one inning in relief and allowed three runs on one hit and four walks while striking out five batters.
For Fayette, Kindle pitched all three innings and gave up 15 runs on seven hits and nine walks while striking out six batters.
Caton, Edwards and Isabel Alvizo each had two hits in the game for Uptown Girlz while Rebecca Shaw had one hit.
For Fayette, Payton Kindle, Leah Thies, Melissa Innes and Ella Dodin each had one hit.

For Creations by Diana, Felgar pitched two innings and gave up 10 runs on four hits and seven walks while striking out four. Rowan Stock then came in and pitched one inning in relief and issued four runs on one hit and four walks while striking out one batter.
