Boonville Ready Mix surpassed the .500 mark for the season at 4-5-1 by beating W-K Auto 4-1 in Midget League action Tuesday at Kemper park.
Although both teams finished the game with three hits, Boonville Ready Mix had its big run in the bottom-half of the first by pushing across four runs. That proved to be the difference as W-K Auto rallied back with only one run in the fourth to complete the scoring.
Brennan Alberts was the winning pitcher in the game for BRM while Kale West took the loss for W-K Auto. Alberts pitched the first-three innings and struck out nine batters while giving up just two hits and five walks. West, meanwhile, pitched 2/3 inning as the starter and gave up four runs on one hit and six walks while striking out two.
Easton Gerding paced all hitters for BRM with a single and one RBI. Kendrick Griffy and Owen Christy also singled while Bruce Oswald, Kolin Arnold and Brenna Alberts finished the game with one RBI each.
For W-K Auto, who dropped to 1-7 on the season, Kannen Kempf went 2-for-3 with two singles while Gavin Ridgeway added one single and one RBI.

Boonville Ready Mix and Caterpillar played to a 2-2 tie in Midget League action Monday at Kemper park.
Boonville Ready, 4-4-1 on the season, scored first with two runs in the top-half of the first only to have Caterpillar rally back with two in the second.
Lian Nickerson, Easton Gerding and Jaxson Stonecipher each pitched in the game for Boonville Ready Mix. Quincy Hobbs and Landon Carter took turns on the mound for Caterpillar, 3-5-1.
Collecting hits in the game for Boonville Ready Mix were Kolin Arnold with a single, double and two RBIs. Jaxson Stonecipher and Brennan Alberts each had one single.
For Caterpillar, Landon Carter went 2-for-3 with two singles and one RBI while Boone Dicus and Corbin Jackson each had one single and Layne Rapp with one RBI.
