Uptown Girlz scored five runs in each of the first-two innings and never looked back, beating 87 Diner 16-8 in Babe Ruth 10U softball last Friday at Lions park.
Uptown Girlz opened the game with five runs in the bottom-half of the first and then sent five runs across in the second and six again in the third. 87 Diner, meanwhile, put up two runs in the third and six again in the fourth.
Isabella Imhoff was the winning pitcher in the circle for Uptown Girlz while Halea Hoff took the loss for 87 Diner. Imhoff pitched all four innings and gave up eight runs on four hits and 15 walks while striking out seven batters. Hoff, meanwhile, pitched three innings and gave up 16 runs on two hits and 21 walks while striking out five.
Cecelia Gaddis and Grace Reuter each had one single in the game for Uptown Girlz. For 87 Diner, Grace Poulsen went 2-for-3 with a single and a triple. Halea Hoff also tripled while Katie Finical added one single.

Isabella Imhoff went 2-for-2 with two singles, and teammate Grace Reuter doubled as Uptown Girlz defeated CARSTAR in Babe Ruth 10U softball last Friday at Lions park.
Uptown Girlz, improving to 7-2 on the season, led CARSTAR from start to finish by pushing across four runs in the first, six again in the second and two in the third. CARSTAR, meanwhile, plated one in the first, two again in the second, one in the third and five in the fourth to make it a three run ballgame.
The loss dropped CARSTAR to 2-7 on the season.
Mabry Caton picked up the win in the circle for Uptown Girlz while Brooklyn Brown took the loss for CARSTAR. Caton pitched the first-three innings and gave up four runs on one hit and eight walks while striking out six batters. Mylie Edwards then came in and pitched one inning in relief and allowed five runs on two hits and seven walks while striking out one batter.
For CARSTAR, Brooklyn Brown pitched all three innings and gave up 12 runs on five hits and 11 walks while striking out three.
Rebecca Shaw also singled in the game for Uptown Girlz.
For CARSTAR, Hillary James and Carlie Kusgen each doubled while Emerson Comegys singled.
