Karson Elbert went 3-for-3 with a single, double, triple and two RBIs to lead C&R Market past Caterpillar 9-2 in Midget League action at Kemper park.
C&R Market scored four runs in each of the first-two innings and then plated one run in the fourth. Caterpillar, meanwhile, scored both of its runs in the fifth.
Landon Conz picked up the win on the mound for C&R Market while Landon Carter took the loss for Caterpillar.
Conz also had a double, home run and two RBIs in the game for C&R Market while Keylen Roper added two singles, Brendon Perry one triple and one RBI and Gavin Schoen, Weston Mundon, Cecil Bailey and Silas Bailey each with one RBI.
For Caterpillar, Mason Jones singled and drove in one run. Boone Dicus also singled while Layne Rapp had one RBI.

W-K Auto 8, Boonville Ready Mix 1
W-K Auto opened the Midget League season in dominating fashion Monday night at Kemper park by beating Boonville Ready Mix 8-1.
WK Auto opened the game with four runs in the first and then sent two runs across in each of the second and third innings of play to go up 8-0. Boonville Ready Mix scored its only run of the ballgame in the bottom half of the fourth.
Levi Ray picked up the win on the mound for WK Auto while Kolin Arnold took the loss for Boonville Ready Mix.
Kyran Turner homered and drove in two runs for WK Auto. Kaiden Stover finished the game with a double and two RBIs while Bryce Newham, Kale West, Kannen Kempf and Tallin Kempf added one RBI each.
For Boonville Ready Mix, Brennan Alberts doubled and drove in one run while Kolin Arnold and Jaxson Stonecipher each had one single.
