Boonville senior third baseman Kole Ficken was recently named to the Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason All-American and All-Region Teams, which recognizes the top senior high school baseball athletes in the U.S.
Ficken, a four-year starter for the Pirates, was a honorable mention selection in the Central Region.
In 2017, Ficken finished the season with a .439 average with a team-leading 36 hits, 9 doubles, five home runs (tied), 31 runs scored and a on-base percentage of .521. He also finished second on the team with 29 RBIs and slugging percentage at .756.
In two games so far this season, Ficken is hitting .400 with two hits in five at-bats with one double, one home run, four RBIs and four runs scored. He also has a on-base percentage of .571 and a slugging percentage of 1.200.
The annual teams highlight Rawlings’ and Perfect Game’s commitment to high school athletics and next-level players nationwide.

Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason All-American honorees are the top 150 players from the All-Region pool. Each recipient is named on one of three, 50-man roster national teams.
