Boonville JV coach Brock Hill said the boys didn’t play well in either game. “Defensively we were slow all night,” Hill said. “We didn’t rotate well or get in good helpside position. We gave up too many easy buckets. We tried a few different defenses on both teams but nothing was working. Offensively, we were ok or at least average. We didn’t run our offense with enough patience and weren’t looking inside. We turned the ball over too much and didn’t finish well. I thought we played hard all night just needed more discipline on both sides of the ball.”
McCoy Thompson had 20 points and Drew Bowen 17 for Bowling Green.
For Boonville, Lane West finished the game with 18 while Tyler Schuster had 10, Sam Esser and Gabe Lorenz six each, Nick Ferrari four and Nathan Platt and Ethan Huntsperger each with two.
