Columbia, Mo. - Columbia College head baseball coach Darren Munns has announced the signing of Jady Reese for the 2019 baseball season. Reese will be a junior athletically when he arrives on campus next fall.
Reese, a 6-3 catcher out of Boonville, Missouri, is getting ready to start his second season at Longview Community College. The Boonville High School graduate was a two-time all-district and all-conference recipient while being named a First Team All-State selection his senior season. He led his team to three district championships while lifting the Pirates to a runner-up finish in the state tournament his senior season. In addition, he also holds the Pirates single season and career records for doubles.
In his first season at Longview Community College, Reese had a very successful year. He posted a .333 batting average while leading the nation with a 0.652 caught stealing percentage.
"Jady Reese is a great addition to our program." Said Munns. "He is a tremendous defensive catcher that is very dedicated to his craft. I expect Jady to have an immediate impact for CC Baseball next season. He has also demonstrated leadership qualities both at the high school and junior college levels that translate to success."
