The LSE Lady Pirates seventh grade volleyball team won in two straight sets Thursday night on the road against Marshall by the scores of 25-21 and 25-15.
LSE volleyball coach Jessica Luscombe said the girls always have to keep it interesting.
“We started off the first set rocky and were down eight, but the girls re-focused and pulled it together and were able to come out with a win,” Luscombe said. “I was glad to see them not give up and come together to win.”
Ava Parman led the Lady Pirates with 14 digs along with five blocks and two service points.
Ashlen Homan finished the match with 10 digs and eight service points while Alyssa Gross added 14 service points, Genae Hodge with 10 digs and three blocks, Heather Hall with 11 service points, Kasie Northern with four service points with one ace, Molly Schuster with four digs, Kinley Fox with two service points and one dig and Lashala Korte with one dig.
