The Bunceton Lady Dragons volleyball team played for a better cause Monday night while hosting the Lincoln Cardinals in a Pink Out Game.
While the Lady Dragons fell in both sets against Lincoln 19-25 and 11-25, head coach Casandra Goyer said the girls had a hard time playing as a team. “We did not move our feet and communicate like we should have,” Goyer said. “The girls will play one more game before district play and I am hoping the next couple of weeks we can iron out the kinks once and for all.”
Senior Lauren Wieland led the Lady Dragons with six service aces along with two digs, one kill and one block.
Skyler Shuffield finished the game with four service aces along with four digs and one kill while Kylie Heilman added one kill, one service ace and one dig, Reagan Triebsch with two digs and one kill and Cara Bishop with one kill and one block.
In the junior varsity match, Bunceton fell in two straight sets by the scores of 15-25 and 21-25.

Autumn Bishop finished the match with five service aces and two kills while Taylyn Heilman added five service aces, Madelynn Myers with two digs, one kill, one service ace and one block, Reagan Triebsch with three service aces and Abby Young with two service aces and one kill.
