The Bunceton Lady Dragons volleyball team fell in two straight sets on the road Thursday night against Calvary Lutheran by the scores of 3-25 and 10-25.
Bunceton coach Casandra Goyer said both the JV and varsity lost but they worked hard and never gave up. “We did a lot of things right and played really well as a team,” Goyer said. “I am proud of the effort that the girls put forth.”
Lauren Wieland led the Lady Dragons with five kills and two digs. Emily Gregory finished the match with two digs, one service ace and one kill while Autumn Bishop added two kills and one dig, Jenna Kahle with two digs and Skyler Shuffield with one service ace and one dig.
In the JV match, the Lady Dragons fell to Calvary Lutheran 22-25 and 23-25.
Cara Bishop led Bunceton with four service aces along with three kills and three digs.
Reagan Triebsch finished the match with three kills, three service aces and three digs while Madelynn Myers added four service aces, two kills and two digs, Taylyn Heilman four service aces and one dig, Abby Young three service aces, Autumn Bishop one kill and one block and Haylee Rose with one service ace.
