The Boonville Lady Pirates golf team opened a busy week with an impressive showing Monday by beating the California Pintos by seven strokes, 202-209.
After Monday’s match against California, the Lady Pirates will compete in the California Invitational Tournament on Tuesday, followed by a home match against Southern Boone on Wednesday and a match at Father Tolton on Thursday.
As for the match against California, head coach Rob VanderLinden said the girls pulled off another win and also had the meet medalist for match as senior McKenna Stumph fired a 6-over par 41 on the front nine.
The win improved Boonville’s record to 7-1 on the season.
As for Stumph, the senior standout finished the meet with four pars and four bogeys for nine holes.
Mille Dorman finished the match with a score of 52 with five bogeys while Jalyn Schnetzler shot a round of 54 with four bogeys, Alisa Newbold with a score of 55 with two bogeys, Olivia Reynolds with a score of 56 with three bogeys and Julianne Bromagen with a score of 66.
California was led by Kendall Kirksey with a score of 51.
