The Bunceton Lady Dragons volleyball team defeated Calhoun in two straight sets 25-7 and 25-18 Thursday night in Bunceton.
Bunceton coach Casandra Goyer said the girls played really well as a team. “We moved our feet and communicated at our very best,” Goyer said. “We also had some amazing serving. I am extremely proud of our girls.”
Senior Lauren Wieland led the Lady Dragons, who improved to 3-5 on the season, with seven aces and five kills. Kylie Heilman finished the match with six service aces, four kills and one dig while Skyler Shuffield added five aces, three kills and two digs, Reagan Triebsch five aces, two kills and two digs, Cara Bishop three kills, Jenna Kahle one kill, one ace and one dig and Autumn Bishop with one kill and one block.
Bunceton also won the only set in the JV match by beating Calhoun 25-10.
Triebsch had four aces and two kills to lead the Lady Dragons. Bishop finished the match with four aces and one kill while Taylyn Heilman had two aces and one dig, Emily Gregory one kill and one ace and Haylee Rose with one ace.
