The Bunceton Lady Dragons volleyball team fell in two straight sets against the Otterville Eagles Tuesday night on the road by the scores of 21-25 and 15-25.
Bunceton coach Casandra Goyer said the girls failed to play as a team. “We did some good things individually and came together a few times for some long volleys, but failed to get it together in the end,” Goyer said.
Skyler Shuffield and Kylie Heilman both did their part for the Lady Dragons. While Shuffield finished the match with four kills, four digs and one block, Heilman had five service points with two kills and two digs.
Cara Bishop finished the match with four kills and one dig while Jenna Kahle added four service points, Emily Gregory with two kills, one service point and one dig, Reagan Triebsch with two digs, one kill and one service point, Lauren Wieland with one kill and one dig and Autumn Bishop with one block.
In the JV match, Bunceton defeated Otterville in three sets 25-17, 8-25 and 15-11.
Goyer said the girls played hard and worked as a team to play long volleys. “I am extremely proud of these girls,” Goyer said.
Reagan Triebsch had four kills and two service points in the match for the Lady Dragons while Abby Young added three service points, two kills and one block, Madelynn Myers with three kills, two digs and one block, Emily Gregory with four service points and one kill, Taylyn Heilman with five service points, Cara Bishop with four service points, Autumn Bishop with one kill and one block and Haylee Rose with one service point.
