The Bunceton Lady Dragons volleyball team fell in three sets Monday night at home against the Tipton Lady Cardinals by the scores of 18-25, 25-17 and 25-9.
Bunceton coach Casandra Goyer said the girls played hard in the loss to Tipton but just couldn’t pull it together on the final sets.
“If we could have been a little quicker on our feet and communicated better the outcome would have been different,” Goyer said.
Kylie Heilman led the Lady Dragons with five service points along with four digs and three kills.
Skyler Shuffield finished the match with five kills, three service points and three digs while Lauren Wieland added four kills, four blocks and three digs, Jenna Kahle with three digs, two service points and one kill, Reagan Triebsch with three service points, one kill and one dig, Emily Gregory with two kills and two digs, Cara Bishop with two kills, one dig and one block and Autumn Bishop with two kills and one block.
Tipton also won the JV match against Bunceton in two straight sets by the scores of 8-25 and 21-25.
Goyer said the girls had an off night when it came to their serves. “We hope to correct that before our next match,” Goyer said.
Reagan Triebsch led the JV Lady Dragonw with five kills, four service points and four digs.
Cara Bishop finished the match with six service points, two digs and one kill while Madelynn Myers added one service point, one kill and one dig, Taylyn Heilman with two service points and Haylee Rose with one service point.
After Tuesday’s match against the Otterville Lady Eagles, Bunceton will return to action on Friday, Sept. 1st at home against Eugene starting at 6 p.m. Then, on Thursday, Sept. 7th, Bunceton will host Calhoun starting at 6 p.m.
