The Boonville 12-year-old All-Stars dropped its opening game in the Midwest Plains Regional Tournament on Thursday by losing to East Twins, Minnesota 20-0 in five innings.
While managing just three hits in the ballgame, the Boonville 12 All-Stars also trailed East Twins 5-0 after one, 9-0 after two and 16-0 after three before giving up four more runs in the fourth.
Blake Griffin took the loss on the mound for Boonville by giving up five runs on two hits and three walks while striking out one batter in one inning.
Boonville used a total of five different pitchers in the game while East Twins used only three pitchers.
East Twins also out-hit Boonville 13-3, with Ian Williams going 3-for-3 with six RBIs. Alex VanDell, Jake McNeil and Andrew Swanson each had two hits.
For Boonville, Hayden Jenks, Edrissa Bah-Lamb and Blake Richardson each had one single.
