Ready for some more baseball?
If so, the Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth State Tournaments may just be the thing for you as area all-star teams gear up for a chance at the big prize: Regionals and then World Series.
Although the Junior Babe Ruth League still has one week left in the regular season, the Cal Ripken League ended earlier than normal this year. Ditto for the Boonville Babe Ruth Softball League, who had it’s state tournament just last weekend.
The Boonville 10, 12-70s, 13, 14 and 15 All-Stars will all begin play on July 13th.
The Boonville 10-year-old All-Stars will open in Carthage, Missouri with the winner to move on to the Midwest Plains Regional Tournament in Colorado on July 20-25.
As for the Boonville 12-year-old All-Stars, they will open up state play at Cape Girardeau with the winner advancing on to regionals on July 19-23 in Bemidji, Minnesota.
In the 13-year-old division, the Boonville All-Stars will host the state tournament with the winner moving on to regionals on July 25-29 in Roseau, Minnesota.
The Boonville 14-year-old All-Stars, meanwhile, will open state play in Scott City, Missouri with the winner moving on to the regional tournament in North Platte, Nebraska on July 25-30.
As for the Boonville 15-year-old All-Stars, they will begin state play in Joplin, Missouri with the winner advancing to the Midwest Plains Regional Tournament in Junction City, Kansas on July 26-30.
The Boonville 13, 14 and 15-year-old All-Stars will be announced in-between games Wednesday night in Junior Babe Ruth.
As for the Boonville 8, 9 and 11-year-old All-Stars, they will all begin state play on July 20-23.
The Boonville 8-year-old All-Stars will open state play in Farmington, Missouri with all teams moving on to regionals in Joplin on July 27-30.
As for the Boonville 9-year-old All-Stars, they will play their state tournament in Cape Girardeau with the winner moving on to regionals in Gering, Nebraska on July 26-31.
The Boonville 11-year-old All-Stars will play right at home in the state tournament with the winner advancing on to regionals in Bismarck, North Dakota on July 26-31.
Cal Ripken  Vice President Mike Watts said a Boonville 12U team will also play in the regional tournament for 60 foot bases in Garden City, Kansas on July 19-23.
As for World Series, the 10-year-olds will play in Hammond, Indiana on August 5-12; 12-year-olds in Branson, August 3-10; 13-year-olds in Mountain Home, Arkansas August 10-17; 14-year-olds in Glen Allen, Virginia on August 10-17; 13-15-year-old All-Stars in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee on August 10-17; and 16-18-year-old All-Stars in Ephrata, Washington on August 5-12.
In softball, the Boonville 12-year-old All-Stars will play in the Midwest Plains Regional Tournament on July 6th in Limon, Colorado.
The World Series for all teams in the 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16U softball teams will be held in Jensen Beach/Stuart, Florida. The 14, 16 and 18-year-olds will play their World Series on July 19-27 while the 8, 10 and 12-year-olds will ply July 28-August 5.
