Will advance to Midwest Plains Regional Tournament in Limon, Colorado

The Boonville Babe Ruth 12-year-old All-Stars couldn’t have written their outcome any better over the weekend while competing in the Babe Ruth State Tournament in Advance, Missouri.
While competing against a field of six other teams in the double-elimination tournament, the Boonville 12 All-Stars finished 3-0 with wins over Heartland Outlaw, Mineral Area and Park Hills Rage to capture the state title.
The Boonville 12 All-Stars will now advance to the Midwest Plains Regional Tournament in Limon, Colorado on July 6-9.
While winning all three games by a combined score of 24-7, the Boonville 12 All-Stars left little doubt in the opening round by beating Heartland 5-0.
In that game, Boonville opened the game with three runs in the bottom-half of the first and then sent two runs across in the third.
Emma West picked up the win in the circle for Boonville while Lily Knotts took the loss for Heartland. West pitched the first-three innings and struck out five batters while giving up just one hit and one walk. Leah Vollrath then came in and pitched three innings in relief and allowed just one hit while striking out three.
Boonville also out-hit Heartland 5-2, with West going 2-for-2 with two singles and two RBIs. Abby Fuemmeler finished the game with one single and one RBI while Grace Phillips and Lexi Maddex added one single each and Zoey Lang with one RBI.
For Heartland, Madison Yount and Brooke Coomer each had one single.
In the semifinal round, the Boonville 12 All-Stars again jumped out to stay by pushing across one run in the first, two in the second and five in the fourth to make it 8-0. Mineral Area made it close, though, by plating three runs in its half of the fourth and four again in the fifth to cut the lead back to one.
West again picked up the win in the circle for Boonville while Savanna Despain took the loss for MABA. West started the game and pitched 3 1/3 innings and struck out six batters while giving up one run on four hits and one walk. Vollrath then came in and pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed six runs on six hits and one walk while striking out one.
As for the hitting in the game for Boonville, Emma West and Mia Hatter each had one single, one double and one RBI. Grace Phillips and Abby Fuemmeler added two singles each while Marci Lammers contributed one single and two RBIs, Zoey Lang and Olivia Eichelberger each with one single and one RBI and Lexi Maddex, Leah Vollrath and Natalie Glenn with one single apiece.
For MABA, Brylee Durbin went 3-for-3 with two singles and one double. Khloe Dischbein was 2-for-3 with a double, triple and five RBIs while Angelia Davis added two singles and two RBIs, Savanna Despain also with two singles and Brianna Despain with one single.
In the championship game, the Boonville 12 All-Stars scored in only two innings but that proved to be enough while beating Park Hills 11-0.
The Boonville 12 All-Stars wasted little time getting on the board against Park Hills while exploding for five runs in the first. Boonville also sent six runs across in the third inning to win by the mercy rule.
West pitched all three innings for Boonville for the win and gave up just one hit while striking out four batters. Charlie Johnson, meanwhile, took the loss for Park Hills by giving up five runs on two hits and four walks in one inning pitch.
Boonville also out-hit Park Hills 5-1, with West going 2-for-3 with a single, double and three RBIs. Marci Lammers also doubled while Olivia Eichelberger added a single and one RBI, Grace Phillips with one single and Natalie Glenn and Lexi Maddex with one RBI each.
For Park Hills, Taylor Marler had one triple.
