Aiden Lemmons and Carson Campbell did their part at the plate for Central Realty in Junior Babe Ruth action Friday night at Twillman field in Harley park.
While playing KWRT in a No. 1 versus No. 2 matchup in league play, Lemmons and Campbell made sure that Central Realty came out on top while combining for six of the team’s nine hits in a 8-1 win over KWRT.
In the nightcap, CARSTAR evened its season record to 5-5 by turning back A&W 12-4.
At Fayette, Imhoff’s Appliance defeated Fayette 16-4 while Medical Arts upended Fayette 14-6.
Central Realty, improving to 8-2 on the season, led KWRT from start to finishing while exploding for five runs in the bottom-half of the second and then adding one run in each of the fourth and fifth innings of play to make it 8-0. Then, in the top-half of the sixth, KWRT scored its only run of the ballgame to avoid the shutout.
Reese Lang picked up the win on the mound for Central Realty while Nathaniel Krebs took the loss for KWRT, who dropped to 6-3. Lang pitched the first-six innings and struck out 10 batters while giving up one run on five hits. Charlie Bronakowski then came in and pitched one inning in relief and yielded no runs, no hits and no walks.
For KWRT, Krebs pitched the first-four innings and surrendered six runs on six hits and four walks while striking out five. DeAndre Wesolak then came in and pitched two innings in relief and issued two runs on three hits while striking out two batters.
As for Lemmons and Campbell, Campbell had three singles and three RBIs while Lemmons finished the game with three singles and one RBI. Lang also singled and drove in one run while Bronakowski and Carson Bail added one single and Aiden Battreall with one RBI.
For KWRT, Heath Danner went 2-for-3 with two singles while Krebs had one single and one RBI and Jacob Vossler and Harper Stock each with one single.
In the nightcap, A&W jumped out on top with one run in the top-half of the third only to have CARSTAR rally back with six runs in each of the fifth and sixth innings of play for the victory.
Bailey Quint was the pitcher of record in the game for CARSTAR while Cale Fox took the loss for A&W, who fell to 4-6. Quint started the game and pitched 4 1/3 innings and struck out 11 batters while giving up one run on two hits and six walks. Dade Christy then came in and pitched 1 1/3 innings in relief and issued two runs on four walks while striking out one. Then, to finish the game, Kealin Vinson pitched 1 1/3 innings and yielded one run on three walks while striking out three batters.
For A&W, Fox pitched 4 1/3 innings and gave up five runs on two hits and two walks while striking out eight batters. Andy Neal then came in and pitched 1 2/3 innings in relief and surrendered 12 runs on five hits and four walks while striking out one.
CARSTAR also out-hit A&W 7-2, with Dade Christy going 2-for-4 with two singles and two RBIs. Dalton Oerly finished the game with one double and one RBI while Kealin Vinson added one single and two RBIs, Preston Stover one single and one RBI, , Bailey Quint and Russell Potter each with one single and Jordan Massey with one RBI.
For A&W, Colton Scott had one single and one RBI while Peyton Keeran added one single and DaWan Lomax with one RBI.

Carson Campbell went 2-for-5 with a single, double and two RBIs, and teammate Charlie Bronakowski added two singles and three RBIs as Central Realty turned back Medical Arts in Junior Babe Ruth action last Wednesday at Twillman field in Harley park.
Although Central Bank wound up winning by nine runs, the first inning belonged to Medical Arts, who led by a score of 4-2. However it was pretty much all Central Realty after that with 15 unanswered runs over the next-four innings to go up 15-4. Medical Arts then plated two runs in the bottom-half of the fifth.
Carson Campbell picked up the win on the mound for Central Realty while Josh Polk took the loss for Medical Arts, who dropped to 2-7 on the season.  Campbell pitched the first-five innings and struck out five batters while giving up six runs on six hits and two walks. Charlie Bronakowski then came in and pitched one inning in relief and struck out one batter.
For Medical Arts, Polk pitched the first-three innings and surrendered 12 runs on six hits and six walks while striking out three batters. Axton Nease then came in and pitched two innings in relief and issued three runs on three hits and four walks while striking out five. Then, to finish the game, Cade Schupp pitched one inning and walked two batters while striking out one.
Hayden Krumm also doubled and drove in two runs for Central Realty while Josh Chrisman and Dylan Schupp added one single and two RBIs each, Carson Bail and Dustyn Taylor each with one single and Austin Sandbothe with one RBI.
For Medical Arts, Memphis Waibel had two singles and one RBI while Chandler Stonecipher added two singles, Cade Schupp one single and three RBIs, Kayle Rice with one single and one RBI and Josh Polk with one RBI.

KWRT rallied from a 4-3 deficit after 5 1/2 by scoring two runs in the bottom-half of the sixth to beat Imhoff’s Appliance in Junior Babe Ruth action last Wednesday at Twillman field in Harley park.
KWRT, improving to 6-2 on the season, trailed Imhoff’s Appliance 3-1 after the first and 4-3 after five before the rally in the sixth.
Heath Danner was the winning pitcher in the game for KWRT while Lane West took the loss for Imhoff’s Appliance, who dropped to 4-5. Nick Ferrari pitched the first-five innings and gave up four runs on six hits and eight walks while striking out four. Danner then came in and pitched two innings in relief and struck out two batters.
For Imhoff’s Appliance, Nathan Platt pitched the first-three innings and surrendered just one run on two hits and three walks while striking out six. West then came in and pitched 2 1/3 innings and issued three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three batters.
Spencer Steakley had the only extra base hit in the game for KWRT, being a double. Nick Ferrari finished the game with one single and one RBI while Jacob Vossler, Nathaniel Krebs and DeAndre Wesolak added one single and Heath Danner with one RBI.
For Imhoff’s Appliance, Jamesian McKee had two singles while Dawson Barnthouse added one double, Nathan Platt with one single and one RBI and Brayden Page and Lucas Ziegelbein each with one single.
