C&R Market had the perfect ending to the season Friday night in Midget League action at Kemper park by beating WK Auto 4-1.
C&R Market, who closed out the season at 5-7 overall, led W-K Auto from the third inning on while breaking a 1-1 tie after two with two runs in the third and one again in the fourth.
Hayden Sandbothe picked up the win in relief for C&R Market while Talllin Kempf took the loss for W-K Auto, who finished the season at 5-7. Maddex Jackson started the game for C&R Market and pitched one inning, giving up three walks while striking out three batters. Sandothe then came in and pitched three innings in relief and allowed one run on one hit and six walks while striking out nine batters.
For W-K Auto, Lyle Christy pitched the first inning and gave up one walk while striking out three batters. Jackson Shelton then came in and pitched one inning in relief and allowed one run on one hit and three walks while striking out three. Then, to finish the game, Kempf pitched two innings and surrendered three runs on three hits and five walks while striking out six.
C&R Market also out-hit W-K Auto 4-1, with Tim Monnig going 3-for-3 with two singles, one triple and one RBI. Maddex Jackson had one single and one RBI.
For W-K Auto, Colton Thompson singled while Forge Mackey added one RBI.

Boonville Ready Mix 5
A-Bow-K closed out the Midget League season Thursday night at Kemper park by beating Boonville Ready Mix by a score of 8-5.
A-Bow-K, who finished 11-1 on the season, trailed Boonville Ready Mix 3-0 after 2 1/2 before rallying back with four runs in the bottom-half of the third to go up 4-3. But even that was short-lived as BRM tacked on two more runs to retake the lead at 5-4 only to have A-Bow-K explode for four runs in the bottom-half of the inning to go ahead for good at 8-5.
Keylon Roper was the winning pitcher in the game for A-Bow-K while Jaxson Stonecipher took the loss for Boonville Ready Mix, who dropped to 6-6. Roper pitched one inning in relief and gave up two runs on four walks while striking out three batters. Donavin Atkins started the game and pitched one inning in relief while Bryson Welch pitched 2/3 inning in relief and Isaac Herman for one inning.
For Boonville Ready Mix, Alex Ewings pitched the first-two innings before giving way to Braylon Banuet for 2/3 inning. Stonecipher then came in and pitched 2/3 inning in relief and gave up four runs on six walks while striking out two batters.
Karson Elbert had the only hit in the game for A-Bow-K, being a double. Elbert also drove in one run and scored twice while Gavin Schoen, Marcus George and Bryce Wassman each had two RBIs and Dylan McGuire with one RBI.
For Boonville Ready Mix, Jaxson Stonecipher went 2-for-3 with two singles. Alex Ewings collected one single and one RBI while Jayden Salzman added two RBIs and Bruce Oswald and Austin Gately each with one RBI.
