C&R Market will be the first to tell you that it didn’t look good while trailing Boonville Caterpillar 4-1 after two innings Monday night in Midget League action at Kemper park.
However after failing to score in the second inning, C&R Market came back and exploded for four runs in the third and one again in the fourth to beat Boonville Caterpillar by a score of 6-4.
Hayden Sandbothe picked up the win on the mound for C&R Market, who improved to 4-7, while Reece Townlain took the loss for Boonville Caterpillar, who dropped to 3-8 on the season.  Maddex Jackson pitched the first inning for C&R Market and gave up four runs on one hit and five walks while striking out two batters. Sandbothe then came in and pitched three innings in relief and allowed two walks while striking out nine batters. Then, to finish the game, Brayden Viertel pitched one inning and issued one hit while striking out three batters.
For Boonville Caterpillar, Gabe Romero-Shelton pitched the first-two innings and struck out six batters while giving up one run on two hits. Reece Townlain then came in and pitched 2/3 inning and issued four runs on seven walks while striking out two batters. Then, to finish the game, Landon Carter pitched one inning and yielded one run on two hits while striking out three batters.
C&R Market also out-hit Boonville Caterpillar 4-2, with Brayden Viertel going 2-for-2 with two triples. Kaden Thacker and Tim Monnig each had one single and one RBI while  Weston Widner, Hayden Sandbothe, Josiah Hand and Daylen Harris added one RBI each.
For Boonville Caterpillar, Reece Townlain went 2-for-2 with one single and one triple while Dalton Boler, Quincy Hobbs and Brylan Carter added one RBI each.
