After a heated battle earlier in the week, Drummond Photography had another tight game with Philip Imhoff Construction Saturday in a makeup game at Lions park.
Except this time, Drummond Photography held off a rally by PIC for a 12-11 victory.
Drummond Photography also beat CARSTAR later in the day by a score of 18-2 to wrap up the regular season at 7-3. Meanwhile, in the only other game on Saturday, Creations by Diana upended CARSTAR 12-5.
In the first game against PIC, Drummond Photography trailed by a score of 4-3 after one before rallying with three in the second and six again in the third to make it 12-4. Of course PIC didn’t go down without a fight while battling back with two in the bottom-half of the third and five again in the fourth to cut the lead to one.
Emmersyn Eads picked up the win in the circle for Drummond Photography while Le’Asia Bruce took the loss for PIC, who dropped to 6-4.
Allison Drummond had the only hit in the game for Drummond Photography, being a single. For PIC, who actually out-hit DP 7-1, Isabella Imhoff and Ava Esser each had a single, double and three RBIs. Ny’Asia Jones finished the game with one single, one double and two RBIs while Mabry Caton contributed one double and two RBIs.
In the second game, Creations by Diana never trailed against CARSTAR and led 2-1 after one and 7-1 after two before outscoring CARSTAR 5-4 in the third.
Lillian Newham was the winning pitcher in the game for Creations by Diana, who improved to 6-4, while Emma Wells took the loss for CARSTAR.
Creations by Diana also out-hit CARSTAR 2-1, with Hailey Platt and Rowan Stock collecting one single each and Kierstyn Woodruff with one RBI.
Emma Wells had the only hit in the game for CARSTAR, being a single. Wells also drove in two runs.
In the final game, Drummond Photography opened the game with six runs against CARSTAR and then sent six more runs across in each of the second and third innings of play for the victory.
CARSTAR, who fell to 0-10 on the season, scored both of its runs in the game in the bottom-half of the third.

Drummond Photography also had four hits in the game, with Eads going 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. Cadence Shelton had one double and one RBI while Allison Drummond added one double, Maggie Schuster one single and Sophie Zoeller with one RBI.
For CARSTAR, Makayla Cordes had one single.
