Fayette and Boonville Abstract picked up wins in Babe Ruth 8U softball Tuesday night at Lions park.
For Fayette, they defeated Citizen’s Community Bank by a score of 8-1. As for Boonville Abstract, they won 5-2 over Walmart.
Although Fayette wound up winning by seven runs, CCB actually led 1-0 after one inning before giving up eight unanswered runs over the next-three innings to suffer the loss.
Emma Hilgedick led the hitting attack in the game for Fayette with three singles and one RBI. Payton Kendall and Brooke Dougherty each had three singles while Paige Vroman added two singles and two RBIs, Greysyn Syferd and Addison Gibbs each with two singles and one RBI and Kadence Sultrop and Cameron Ballew with two singles apiece.
For CCB, who dropped to 0-8-1 on the season, Kinlei Ruffel, Lauren Thompson and Kaleia Morton each had two singles while Carly Robb and Delaney Rowlett added one single each.
In the second game, Walmart led BAB 2-1 after the first inning but was outscored 4-0 for the rest of the game to suffer the loss.
BAB, who improved to 7-1 on the season, also out-hit Walmart 15-7, with Emme Comegys going 4-for-4 with three singles, one triple and one RBI. Elizabeth Eichelberger was also 4-for-4 with four singles and one RBI while Lilli Moore added two singles and one double, Kendall Hodges with two singles and one RBI, Ellise Kirchner with one single and one RBI, Avery Haynes with one single and Brylea Warren with one RBI.
For Walmart, who dropped to 1-7-1 on the season, Katie Pefferman and Alycia Felgar each had one single and one double. Elayna Einspahr added one single and one RBI while Taegan Anderson and Laney Humphrey finished the game with one single each.
