Amera Wright went 2-for-2 with a double, triple and one RBI, and teammate Allison Drummond added two singles and one triple as Drummond Photography defeated CARSTAR 16-7 in Babe Ruth 10U softball Monday night at Lions park.
Drummond Photography, improving to 6-3 on the season, trailed CARSTAR 6-5 after 1 1/2 before rallying back with six in the second and five again in the third.
Allison Drummond also picked up the win in the circle for DP while Hannah Strawhun took the loss for CARSTAR, who dropped to 0-9. Drummond pitched one inning and gave up four runs on two hits and six walks while striking out one batter. Amera Wright then came in and pitched two innings in relief and allowed three runs on five walks while striking out five.
For CARSTAR, Strawhun pitched all three innings and surrendered 16 runs on 11 hits and 10 walks while striking out four batters.
Tomi Mallott also had two hits in the game for DP, both being singles. Cadence Shelton and Kaidence Callaway added one single and one RBI each while Cora Thompson, Emerson Eads and Kaylee Casey contributed one single each.
For CARSTAR, Jordin Baker had one single and one RBI while Emma Wells added one single.

Philip Imhoff Construction scored six runs each in the first-two innings and never looked back, beating Creations by Diana in the nightcap Monday night in Babe Ruth 10U softball at Lions park.
Le’Asia Bruce was the winning pitcher in the game for PIC, 7-2 on the season, while Hailey Platt took the loss for CBD, who dropped to 4-5. Bruce pitched 2 2/3 innings in relief of starter Ava Esser and gave up three runs on two hits and five walks while striking out five.
For CBD, Platt pitched the first inning and gave up 11 runs on one hit and 11 walks. Kylee Turner and Kierstyn Woodruff also pitched one inning in relief.
Ny’Asia Jones led all hitters for PIC with a single and a double while Isabelle Imhoff added one single.
For CBD, Hailey Platt, Rowan Stock and Lillian Newham each had one single.
