Tint Shop moved into a first-place tie with Huebert Fiberboard in Cal Ripken Minor Wednesday night at the COCOBA ballfield by beating Rt. B Cafe 9-3.
Tint Shop, improving to 6-2 on the season, appeared to have a game on its hands early while playing Rt. B Cafe to a 1-1 tie after two. However it was pretty much all Tint Shop after that with a 8-2 advantage for the rest of the game.
Alec Schupp picked up the win in relief of starter Beau Walker in the game for Tint Shop while Payton Oeth took the loss for Rt. B Cafe.
Tint Shop also out-hit Rt. B Cafe 6-5, with Gage Hodges going 3-for-3 with three doubles and three RBIs. Logan Turk had a single and two RBIs while Zack Espey and Lucas Schuster added one single and one RBI each and Beau Walker and Quinten Knipp each with one RBI.
For Rt. B Cafe, Jailyn Patel went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI while Payton Oeth and Baylor Jackson added one single and one RBI and Ethan Henderson with one single.

Axis Seed 6
Schlotzhauer Auto picked up its first win of the season Wednesday night in the second game in Cal Ripken Minor by beating Axis Seed.
Schlotzhauer Auto, 1-6 on the season, led Axis Seed from the second inning on while breaking a 3-3 tie with four runs to go up 7-3. Schlotzhauer Auto also put up two runs in the third inning.
Kailen Vaca was the winning pitcher in the game for Schlotzhauer Auto while Evan Bishop took the loss for Axis Seed.
Kaleb Friebe and D’Avion Jones each had one double and two RBIs in the game for Schlotzhauer while Dylan Kosky and Edison Baker drove in one run.
For Axis Seed, who actually out-hit Schlotzhauer Auto 6-2, Clayton Schuster went 2-for-3 with one double and two RBIs. Christian Siegel had one double and one RBI while Seth Thomas added one single and two RBIs and Aiden Rapp and Evan Bishop each with one single.
Tuesday’s game
Tint Shop exploded for 21 runs in three innings to beat Boonville Daily News 21-11 in Cal Ripken Minor Tuesday night at the COCOBA ballfield.
In the nightcap, Huebert Fiberboard raised its season record to 6-2 by leading Schlotzhauer Auto from start to finish for a 14-5 victory.
Tint Shop, improving to 5-2 on the season, trailed briefly against BDN after giving up two runs in the top-half of the first. However it was pretty much all Tint Shop after that by reeled off nine runs in the bottom-half of the first, five again in the second and seven in the third to go up 21-9.
Lucas Schuster picked up the win on the mound for Tint Shop while Darrin Leonard took the loss for Boonville Daily News, who dropped to 2-4.
Tint Shop also had 10 hits in the ballgame, with Gage Hodges going 3-for-4 with a double, triple and four RBIs. Max Rapp also had three hits with one double and three RBIs while Zack Espey added two singles and two RBIs and Zachary Ewings and Lucas Schuster each with one single and one RBI.
For BDN, Jamal Franklin went 3-for-4 with one double and two RBIs. Zeke Pritchett added three singles while Shawn Beach-Reasons contributed one single, one double and three RBIs, Haden Oliver with one single and one RBI, Darrin Leonard with one single and Jacob White and Tyler Wassman each with one RBI.
In the second game, Huebert Fiberboard broke out the bats early with 10 runs in the first-two innings to lead Schlotzhauer Auto 10-0. However, over the final-two innings, Schlotzhauer auto outscored Huebert Fiberboard 5-4.
Trenton Schoen was the winning pitcher in the game for Huebert Fiberboard while Kaleb Friebe took the loss for Schlotzhauer Auto, who dropped to 0-6 on the season.
Huebert Fiberboard also finished the game with seven hits, with Connor Wilmsmeyer going 3-for-4 with two triples and two RBIs. Cash Leonard had one double and one RBI while Grayson Esser added one double, Trenton Schoen with one single and two RBIs, Thomas Elliott with one single and one RBI and Camrin Massey with two RBIs.
For Schlotzhauer Auto, Jaeshua Barber went 2-for-2 with one double and two RBIs while Kaleb Friebe had one single.
