The Ss. Peter & Paul girls sixth grade basketball team fell to 2-6 on the season by losing to the Pilot Grove Tigers 25-10 Tuesday night in Boonville.
The Lady Warriors played Pilot Grove to a 4-4 tie after the first quarter but was outscored 21-6 for the rest of the game to suffer the loss.
Ss. Peter & Paul coach Danny Fuemmeler said the girls came out flat and could never get on track shooting. “Our defense gave up easy looks and that was the difference in the game,” Fuemmeler said.
Zoey Lang and Abby Fuemmeler tied for the team-high for Ss. Peter & Paul with four points. Fuemmeler also had 10 rebounds, one steal and one assist while Lang added four rebounds.
Alison Eichelberger finished the game with two points, one rebound and one assist while Grace Williams added six rebounds, Addy Nichols three rebounds and one steal, Carleigh Meyer two rebounds and one steal, Leah Ziegelbein one rebound, one steal and one assist and Allison Drummond with one rebound and one steal.
For Pilot Grove, Kaitlyn Maggard had 12 points.
