COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — The state rankings for Missouri high school football voted on by a 10-person panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. First-place votes in parenthesis, followed by last year's won-loss record, points received and last year's final ranking.

Rage places third in MAYB National Tourney

The Missouri Rage eighth grade girls’ basketball team recently concluded their season with a third-place finish at the MAYB National Tournament in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The waiting is officially over for the Prairie Home Panthers baseball team.

In CCAA action Tuesday night at Bunceton, the Panthers snapped a four-year losing skid by beating the Dragons by a score of 7-3.

YMCA soccer and volleyball registrations continue

The Boonslick Heartland YMCA announced this morning that registration for youth volleyball ages U6-U14 will be held through Tuesday, Sept. 7th.

Salisbury rallies past New Franklin 5-2

For four innings on Monday, the New Franklin Lady Bulldogs softball team looked to be well on its way to knocking off the Salisbury Panthers while leading by a score of 1-0.

But then it happened. In the fifth inning, Salisbury rallied back with four runs to go up 4-1 and then plated another run in the sixth to win the game by a score of 5-2.

New Franklin-Bunceton game cancelled

New Franklin Athletic Director Ross Dowell said the softball and baseball games tonight against Bunceton have been cancelled due to wet fields.

Lady netters wins NCMC match against Mexico, 8-4

Fresh off from winning the School of the Osage Tournament over the weekend, the Boonville Lady Pirates tennis team added another notch to its belt last night in NCMC action at Mexico by beating the Lady Bulldogs by a score of 8-4.

While trailing 1-0 after 4 1/2 innings of play, the Bulldogs came back and exploded for five runs in the bottom-half of the fifth for a 5-2 victory.

For the third year in a row, the Lady Pirates walked away with the championship and for the second year in a row Boonville beat Wright City for the title by a score of 7-2.

The Boonville Pirates football team accomplished three feats Friday night in the season opener against the Pleasant Hill Roosters.

Lady Dragons capture third in Tipton Tourney

The Bunceton Lady Dragons softball team captured third in the Tipton Tournament over the weekend by finishing with a record of 2-1.

In the opening round against Tuscumbia, the Lady Dragons defeated the Indians by a score of 13-2. Then, after losing in the second round against the host team by a score of 6-0, Bunceton came back and beat CCAA rival Prairie Home in the third-place game in a nailbiter by a score of 7-6.
