The Boonville Pirates baseball team captured the championship in the Class 4 District 8 Tournament last night in Fulton by beating top-seeded Kirksville 7-0. The Pirates, 15-8 on the season, will play Duchesne in the sectional round of the state playoffs on Tuesday, May 21 in St. Charles.

The Boonville Pirates baseball team closed out the regular season last night by beating the Sedalia Smith-Cotton Tigers 12-2 in six innings. The Pirates, 13-8 overall, will begin district play on Monday, May 13th in Fulton against the winner of MMA-Mexco starting at 7 p.m.
