Theresa Frances Martin Lang, 76, of Boonville passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at her home.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa will be held at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Father Bob Duesdieker officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with the Daughters of Isabella holding a prayer service at 8 p.m.
Theresa F. Martin was born in Marshall, Mo. Feb. 29, 1932, the daughter of Urban J. Martin and Martha Felten Martin. She attended schools in Marshall and graduated from Mercy Academy in 1950. She married William A. Lang in Marshall on Dec. 27, 1950. They made their home in Boonville and raised ten children. Theresa was a devout member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church and was very active in the Daughters of Isabella and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Theresa worked for H&R Block in Columbia for many years as a tax consultant.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents and by four brothers: Bernard, Bob, Norbert and Eugene Martin and by her sisters, Helen Widel and Dorothy Samson.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, of the home and her children: Anthony Lang of San Antonio, Texas; Marvin Lang of Kansas City, Mo.; Sandra Henry of Joplin, Mo.; Patricia Banz of Bellevue, Wash.; Christine Litwiller of Columbia; Denise Brooks of Columbia; Angela Lang of St. Louis, Mo.; Philip Lang of Houston, Texas; Peter Lang of Blue Springs, Mo.; and the youngest, Tom Lang of Hallsville, Texas. Her sisters, Mildred Moore of Marshall and Sister Joan Martin RSM of Kansas City also survive. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Boonslick Senior Center or the Ss. Peter and Paul School Building fund in care of Davis Funeral Chapel.
