Donna Jo Farmer, 56, of Boonville passed away May 16, 2008 at University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. after a long battle with MS.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Davis Funeral Chapel. Friends may call from noon until time of visitation. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church in Boonville, with Pastor Bob Bohnenstiehl and Rev. Elmer McClaflin officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Donna Jo Farmer was born in Mexico, Mo., June 5, 1951, the daughter of Carl and Maxine (Slusher) Ludlam. She married Greg Farmer on Aug. 13, 1972 at Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church in Boonville. Donna, along with her husband Greg, owned and operated the Boonville IGA grocery for many years. She loved nature, especially planting flowers around the house. In her spare time she loved to play solitaire on the computer. She had a love for animals especially their dog “Duke.”
Donna was preceded in death by her mother in 2006. She is survived by her father, Carl Ludlam of Boonville, husband Greg, and their children, Ryan Farmer and wife Jen of St. Louis, Mo. and Justin Farmer and wife Becky and grandson Landon of Blue Springs, Mo. Her brother Gary Ludlam and wife Lynne of Springfield, Mo. and her parents-in-law, Roger and Viviene Farmer of Boonville also survive.
