Mabel L. Weimholt, 84, of Boonville, passed away at Lakeview Health Care Center on Monday, May 12, 2008.

Funeral services for Mabel Weimholt will held at Davis Funeral Chapel in Boonville on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Coletta Eichenberger officiating. Visitation will be one-hour prior to the service from 1 until 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery.

Mabel Weimholt was born in Boonville on June 6, 1923, the daughter of Emil Carl and Mabel Thilking Carl. She was married to Carl Weimholt on Dec. 15, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1974.

Mabel worked for the Interstate Bakeries for many years as the retail clerk at the retail store in Boonville. She was well known for keeping a clean house and a weedless garden. She enjoyed attending dances with her long time friend, Virgil Chamberlin.  She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Boonville.

Mabel was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Jo Ann Mersey.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Bud Mersey and her long time dancing partner and good friend, Virgil Chamberlin. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorials suggested to the United Church of Christ in Boonville or the Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
