Pilot Grove, Mo. -

Pilot Grove C-4 preschoolers and children who benefit from the Parents As Teachers program decorated holiday cookies at the recent Family Night event at Pilot Grove Preschool. Betty Vollmer, Parents As Teachers educator for the Pilot Grove C-4 District, read a story to the group and offered handouts to parents attending the function. Rhea Helmreich, Pilot Grove Preschool teacher, and numerous parents offered cookies, icing, and sprinkles to the young crowd. “Hands on activities during the holidays provide a delightful time to enjoy your children,” Helmrich said. Vollmer and Helmreich encourage parents to turn the TV off and have a family night of fun, decorating cookies, reading stories, or taking children to one of the many events offered in the area.
