Bluegrass Publishing Inc. was awarded a bronze medal in the 13th Annual Independent Publisher (IPPY) Book Award for publication of “A Teen’s Guide to NOT Being Perfect” written by Tom Krause. This inspirational title was selected for the bronze in the Juvenile-Teen/Young Adult Non-Fiction category.
Krause is a Boonville native and graduated from Boonville High School in 1975. He was the speaker at the 2009 Boonville Area Chamber of Comerce annual meeting.
High school – a mere moment in the big picture of life is the simple message expressed by Coach Krause, as he tries to show teens that you don’t have to be the best to make it through – just be the best by being you. “Teen’s Guide to Not Being Perfect” helps students navigate the complicated world of school pressures, self-doubt, family and friendship through the author’s down-to-earth common sense approach and inspiring personal stories.
