The following is a brief of the story. For the full version, see the Tuesday, June 30 print edition of the BDN.

The Boonslick Shriners made an impressive showing in the Heritage Days parade with numerous entries of all sorts.

There were the traditional mini-motorcycles, miniature fire trucks, sand buggies, mini-indy’s, and various other modes of transport including a fire truck doing wheelies as it spun in circles.

The lodge hosted a lunch after the parade that was catered by Shauna Lou’s BBQ where members and guests appreciated the cool air-conditioned building and refreshments after enduring the sweltering heat during the parade. The Boonslick Shrine Club received $2,500 from Boonville Tourism to help pay for the meal.
