The building pad for Boonville’s WalMart Supercenter is taking shape. Vee-Jay Construction will begin putting the building up after the building pad is complete. “They just got started digging the footings for the walls,” Jeremy Pruitt, operator for McAnich Corp. said. Pruitt also said that workers are trying to get the driveway graveled. Workers have almost tied in to the new sewer line so the old one can be taken out, which Pruitt said should take place by Monday. As for the continuous rain in September that delayed construction of the site, Pruitt said they made deadline. “We’ve been working seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. to get caught up after the rain,” he said. After the building pad is complete, workers will start on the parking lot.
