The following is a brief of the story. For the full version, see the Monday, June 15 print edition of the BDN.

A Wooldridge man got a surprise when he arrived home on Thursday evening. He was met by Cooper County Sheriff Jerry Wolfe and Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper Gerry West.

Earlier in the afternoon Sheriff Wolfe and Trooper West drove by the residence and observed what they believed were marijuana plants growing on the man’s property. They spoke with the man about the plants and a search of the property resulted from the conversation.

By the time Sheriff’s Deputies and Highway Patrol officers were done searching the property they had seized over 160 marijuana plants and a large amount of processed plant material they believed to be marijuana.
