NEWS RELEASE: Friends of Arrow Rock plan Jameson Island hike

Explore the Jameson Island Unit of the Big Muddy National Fish and Wildlife Refuge with the Friends of Arrow Rock and the Fish and Wildlife Service on Saturday, March 20. 

A 1 p.m. PowerPoint orientation lecture about the refuge and Jameson Island will be presented at the Arrow Rock State Historic Visitor Center by Refuge Biologist Wedge Watkins. He will also explain the purpose of the Corps of Engineers chute construction project.

From 2-5 p.m. Watkins will lead a 2.5 mile round-trip hike to the Missouri River.
