After years on the road, it's nice to come home. And it's even nicer for your hometown to come welcome you back.

New Franklin native and country superstar Sara Evans stopped by her sister's new shop, My Favorite Things, at 120 E. Broadway. The store, which sells home decor, gifts and coffee, hosted a book signing, where Evans signed her novels "The Sweet By and By," "Love Lifted Me" and "Softly and Tenderly."

"Love Lifted Me," her newest novel, was released earlier this month to rave reviews.

Evans has released six studio albums and has been on the TV show "Dancing with the Stars." She plays Mizzou Arena in Columbia this evening, where she is opening for Rascal Flatts.
