McDonald’s restaurants will partner with schools across mid-Missouri Tuesday, Oct. 7 for a McTeacher’s Night fundraiser. Twenty-six McDonald’s will donate proceeds from their evening sales between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. to local school partners.

Public and parochial schools from elementary to high school will be represented during McTeacher’s Night. Local communities involved will include Boonville, Fayette, California and Sedalia. Participating local and area schools include Zion Lutheran School at Lone Elm, Daly Elementary in Fayette, California Elementary in California, and Smith Cotton High School freshmen and Washington School, both in Sedalia.

McDonald’s restaurants in Missouri and Kansas began hosting McTeacher’s Nights in spring 2003.  Since then, they have raised more than $1.4 million for participating schools.  In March 2008, the program raised more than $12,000 for schools in Columbia, Jefferson City and surrounding communities.
