An accountant by profession and a treasurer on the Boonville School Board in his civic life, Jeff Lammers has reviewed district finances for years.
Lammers joined the board in 2007 and was elected treasurer in 2009. He said he had familiarity with how school finances operate because of audits he had conducted for various districts.
“I think the experience makes me able to assist the staff and other board members if they have questions on certain issues,” Lammers said.
Lammers said he tries to look at the budget intently, and if there is an area that he thinks needs review, he said he speaks up.
Lammers will run against President Brenda Campbell and newcomer Alicia Escobar Watts in the April 6 election for two open seats on the board.
